"Staying Alive"
2008 Annual Convention & Golf Tournament
The Spirit of the Old West
September 9 & 10 - Prescott Resort & Conference Center

“Staying Alive...” It’s what’s on everyone’s mind. Whether we call it Surviving, Treading Water, or Making It through the Downturn, it all means the same thing. We’re Doing What We Can Do to Stay Alive.

The theme of last year’s convention was “It’s Time for Change.” While that theme is still very important, we need to shift our focus to “Staying Alive.” And for that reason, the focus of this year’s convention is helping everyone in the industry to get what they need and want to Stay Alive.

Survival Tools: You told us that you wanted ideas for how to get more prospects and make more sales. The Convention includes two programs by Joe Adams on what America’s Top Retailers are doing to attract more prospects and close more sales: Survival Marketing Tools - How to Get Phone to Ring & More People in the Door and Survival Management Tools - How to Communicate Better, Manage Better, and Close More Sales.

Turnaround Tools: You told us that you wanted ideas & tools for improving the Customer Experience and getting Better Zoning. The Convention includes four programs entitled Tools for the Turnaround - Tools for Improving the Buying Process; Tools for Improving the On-Site Development Process; Tools for Improving the Customer Service Process, and Tools for Getting Better Zoning and More Placement Opportunities for Manufactured Homes.

Recharging Tools: You told us that struggling to Stay Alive is frustrating, exhausting, and that “your battery is getting drained.” The Convention includes lots of opportunities to re-energize yourself, to re-charge your battery, and re-create your business to stay alive and to prepare for the turnaround. You wanted to have fun. You wanted to have an enjoyable Get-A-Way. The Convention includes a Great Golfing Event at “The Best Golf Course in Northern Arizona;” followed by a Casual Welcoming Reception with drinks and hors d’oeuvres at the The 19th Hole, followed by Casino Royale - Phase I - Your winnings will be applied to the Casino Royale Finale on Wednesday Night. In addition to the Casino Royale Finale, there will be a Western Hoe Down with a Whiskey Row Style Reception, Western Cookout, Auction/Raffle with Lots of Prizes, and a Western Hoe Down with Music and Dancing.

The Convention will also include opportunities to network with other leaders and find out “What’s Happening” in our Industry and Association; to be a “Part of the Solution” by working with other members; to “Hone Your Skills” for Staying Alive; and to obtain “New Ideas” for enhancing your business.

If you want to Stay Alive, Prepare for the Turnaround, and Have a Great Time; make plans now to join us at the Prescott Resort on September 9th and 10th. This convention promises to be the best investment you will make during 2008 in yourself and your company. Why let your competition get an unfair advantage over you? Register NOW for this year’s Convention & Golf Tournament. We’re looking forward to seeing you in Prescott.

We invite you to take the opportunity now make your advanced room reservations at the Prescott Resort and Conference Center. It will help you avoid the problem of trying to make a room reservation when the Convention is sold out. A block of guest rooms is being held for September 8 – 11, 2008 at the Prescott Resort until August 8, 2008. The group rate for a King/Queen Room is $115 single/double. Reservations can be made by calling the Prescott Resort at (800) 967-4637 and mention that you are registering for the AHA Fall Conference.
